Most advanced of the aerial apparatus. Not recommended for beginners and instructor approval required.
Skill based understanding:
- front and back levers
- Demonstration of flare pathways.
- C-shaping
- Meat hooks and nutcracker
- German hang and skin the cat
- Shoulder-stand and support
- Splits in straps from clean hand tie entry
- front and back balance
- cross arm front balance
Class regularly works toward flags, roll ups, handstands, muscle ups, straight jackets, and 1 arm flares.
Strength base requirements:
- 5 Clean, full range, and consecutive skin the cats (straight arm invert, leg lift, and technique).
- Straddle to meathook: ability to keep hips high, understanding of correct shoulder engagement and leg placement.
- Ability to hang safely on one arm.
- 5 Clean and consecutive pull ups, from dead hang, with correct scapular rhythm.
- Comfort in Rollup wraps: ability to support in L-sit for 20+ seconds with properly retracted shoulders.
- 2 arm flares
