Aerial Hoop (Lyra) Level 1:

This class is designed to introduce beginning students to the fundamentals of lyra (aerial hoop). Students will learn to hang and invert from the hoop, as well as to sit and change position within the hoop. From there, beginning poses, transitions, and sequences will be introduced with an emphasis on technique and strength to prepare students for higher level skills. As with all aerial classes, students are encouraged to take additional flexibility classes. It is recommended that students wear tight-fitting clothing that covers the back of the knees, low/mid back, and armpits.
